Whether you need to remove previous crop residue from your farm or want to create a new seedbed for the fresh crop, a Rotavator is the perfect agricultural machinery for the job. It ensures preparing soil to make a seedbed for next crop.
How it Works?
A rotavator consists of a set of curved blades attached to a rotating shaft mounted on and derived by tractor power to loosen the farm soil, mixing it into a fine structure, and basically clod-free seedbed. If you want to achieve greater working depth, then the larger the tiller will be perfect for the job. Though even in the larger farms the standard tillage depth is considered up to or not greater than 6 inches.
Tips to use it perfectly on a farm
When you want to work at the maximum width, then you should choose a rotavator that is at least as wide as the external dimensions of your rear tractor tires, otherwise, you may find certain areas on your farm not tilled properly. Pay attention when you use the rotary tiller on your farm.
When you want work on a new farm with a rotavator, then preferably must first plough it in the fall and let the upturned soil soft and mellow over the winter. Then spring is the best time, when you can create a seedbed using the rotary tiller. As on a new farm, the soil has not been tilled before, it needs to be tilled up to 4 to 6 inches deep using the rotavator so that it break all the big and small clods in the soil. Use the rotavator at least two to three times on the ground until it turns into a clod free seedbed.
Whether it is a new farm or you are working on a productive farm where you have not planted anything since a while, then initially start gently and do not till too deep. Using a tiller at a fast speed will not be able to mix-up the soil to the required structure or the way it should. Once you complete one or two rounds you can increase the speed and tilling depth of the rotavator over the farm.
The type and condition of the soil of a farm also impacts the process when you are going to create a seedbed. So keep in mind that have the Operator’s before using it in case you would need when you need to make changes in the depth. Read and follow the operating and safety instructions carefully while handling the tiller.
Fieldking offers various types of rotavator with different functions and features designed to work in various types of soil conditions. You can choose one as per your requirement from mini rotavator to medium and large sized tillers.
